The number of reports that can be created is dependant on the application license.
Reports can be created and customized to present you with useful data about your information and the state and operations of your business in all its aspects.
Permissions are required to work in the Setup and with Reports.
Reports are a service that you can include as part of the application that you create. The Reports functionality is included with PerfectMind, but must be included with the objects for your application. The PerfectMind Owner user can give permissions to other users to create, edit, change, and view reports.
See: Applications for more information about creating an application in PerfectMind.
Reports allow you to present your information in different formats, such as summary lists, tables, maps, etc. and they form the basis for Dashboards, which are simple reports presented as charts, graphs, etc. usually used to see specific information at a glance. Reports have permissions so you can control who can see the information and who can change it.
Reports can be added to the page layout for objects, so that a report or dashboard can be part of the view a user sees, along with the specific record they are looking at.
Reports are arranged into sections based on the organization, locations, and the users own personal reports. Depending on the users profile permissions they may not be able to see all locations and reports. Profile permissions also determine if a user can create or edit reports. Dashboards also appear in this view.
If you select a report or dashboard, you can chose to Display or Print the information.
Administrators can set viewing and access permissions on folders and their contents based on Profiles, regions, and locations. If you select any non-system folder (system folders are Reports, My Personal Reports, Location Based Reports, and Franchise Based Reports) you can click the Folder Properties button to set access permissions for locations and profiles. You can make the folder and it's contents Read Only (users can see and run the reports, but can not edit, create, or delete them) or Full Access (run, edit, create, delete).
To set folder permissions:
Select the region or location from the first drop down list.
Select the Profile from the second drop down list.
Select the permissions. Read Only allows the report to be viewed. Full Access allows reports and dashboards to be edited and changed, and new reports and dashboards to be created.
Click Grant Access to add it to the list.
Click Save to finish.
Adding or deleting folders, reports, and dashboards can be done by clicking the Add or Delete button, or right clicking on the folder or report.
