Access restrictions set optional limits on the days, dates, times, and the IP address from where users can log in to the PerfectMind application.
Permissions are required to work in the Setup.
Access restrictions let you control when users can log in to and work with the PerfectMind application. These are optional settings, and do not have to be entered at all, or you can enter just some of the settings. This is a security feature that helps to keep your data secure. For example, if you have outside contractors or temporary workers you could restrict them so that they can only log into the application on your internal network.
Login Hours: The day of the week and the times when the profile will have access.
Login Dates Range: A starting and ending date when the profile will have access.
Login IP Range: Specifies the range (or even a single) of network addresses that are allowed to login. So you could specify only your own internal network, and perhaps some IP addresses of employees who may work from home or other offices and locations. Even if someone has a correct username and password, unless they are logging in from a recognized location they will not be able to use the application.
